It took me a lot of thinking whether to share or not to what’s going on with my life after the New Year, but after a lot of falling and failing, I told myself, yeah sure why not.. Well, I have had several times to think coz mostly, I’ll probably be using my blog site to rant or vent (over and over) again and surely, you’ll be reading the same old crap (over and over) again..
2012 started has been, so far, pulling me down and giving me a slow start.. It turned out that what I was looking forward to as a better year last year seems to be that “not-so-good year”..
Let me start.. so exactly a month ago (January 18th), I came back to Canada from a five-week holiday in the Philippines and what welcomed me in my old Calgary mailbox is a Collection Agent’s Final Notice of an allegedly Rogers Communication Bill that I have to pay.. And the amount is quite surprising as I do not remember skipping my bill payments when I was with them.. So, it remained unsettled..
Second, I got involved in a two-vehicle collision on St. Albert Trail on my way to the East Coast from Calgary.. Yes, it was not snowing but black ice is black ice.. My 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier Coupe’s has been damaged severely that I’ve got my bumper totally broken, headlights blown up, front metal shaft completely wrecked up and, worse, the damage I caused to the Honda Civic I rear bumped literally makes me 3,000CAD poorer.. I have to claim it through my insurance but hey, that’s a lot of money going out of the pocket..
And yes, I went to three auto body shops for repair estimates but I’d probably have to buy a new car rather than dish out another 3,000CAD just to get my old crap fixed.. Then, just a week ago, I lost my car keys and I have to pay 45.00CAD just to have my car opened by the City Locksmith.. Turned out, my key was not in the car either, so I asked my sister to send my the spare but to no avail.. Car is still unsafely parked in my spot at work..
Third, my Bell Mobility service hasn’t been back since I went out on holiday.. Like my Rogers account, I have not missed paying any bill that goes to my email, and I always pay online, but for some stupid reasons, Bell decided to make my SIM card unprovisioned and have my service temporarily terminated.. Few days back, my phone’s LCD screen got busted and now I am stripped off of any mobile communication means..
For the first time in three years, I am living my old and humble life back as a commuter, as an ordinary guy without phone and as a pauper; and if these are the ways God wanted to remind me to always be grounded and humble, I’ll tell you what? I am learning my lessons, and it’s very humbling..
